Wide Open Productions, American agency specializing in events and based in Seattle, held an event in the Palau for the world famous software company, Microsoft.

During his stay with us, Tim McAfee, the man responsible for the organization of the event, wished to transmit his impressions regarding his experience here and the success of his work at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya.

Easy Fair Packaging Innovations is leading trade show focused on branded packaging, built around packaging-decision making process, and largely led marketing and design wise. Visionaries, experts and technicians meet design consultants, converters and material suppliers who help to deliver successful product launches, re-brands, and brand rejuvenation. 
In this edition, and the first time  in Spain, the fair took place in our venue with more than 1000 assistants.

Mr. Julian Kulkarni, EasyFairs Group Marketing Director, gave us some impressions about the event and the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya.

A Brief introduction... ESTRO is the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. Based in Brussels, this association regroups some of the top players in the World of Cancer Treatment, mainly in the field of radiation oncology.
Muriel Hallet has been hired as Events and Industry Relations Manager 5 years ago and is therefore responsible for all major events organized by the association and some collaborating entities.
 
Description of  the event (number of delegates, nationalities, target, type of event....) The 9th Biennial ESTRO conference was held from the 8th to the 13th of September 2007 and is dedicated to a state-of-the-art scientific audience. With more than 2000 delegates coming from over 50 different countries, it was this year one of our biggest events so far.

Why did you choose the Palau?, have we achieved your expectations??? . Your opinions and experiences.

"To have the 9th Biennial conference at the Palau was considered by ESTRO as a challenge. Indeed, mainly due to the size of its exhibition, the conference was actually a bit too big for the venue. But the previous conference (ICHNO) organized by ESTRO in February 2007 in the Palau had helped us a lot in  defining the best way for working together and it finally proved to be very efficient.
The participants appreciated the easy access by metro and by highway. They also enjoyed the warm and sunny weather of Barcelona taking a relaxing walk in the gorgeous gardens surrounding the Palau.
The second edition of ICHNO will take place in February 2009 at the Palau, which will be then our 3rd event there, so there is no doubt ESTRO enjoys the close collaboration we have with the Palau de Catalunya and the beautiful city of Barcelona!"

Planners Internationa Group, located in Italy, is a prestigious agency with a rich experience in the meetings industry. Between its clients, multinationals like Microsoft, which chosed our Complex for one of its meetings.

Mr. Salmucci, Planners International General director, spent few minutes with us talking about his experience in the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya during his stay.

Event’s description. The event assembled in Barcelona 3.000 professionals and 100 exhibitors in the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya. Among the contest exhibitor companies there were important hotel chains, general services companies, catering, office automation and furniture. In addition to the exhibition area, the lounge counted with more than 40 free training workshops on topics as the management of the time, the not verbal communication and the managerial protocol.

Why the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya "We have just celebrated Exposecretarias. It’s an event that we celebrate from 8 years ago and all the editions here, in Barcelona, we have celebrated them in the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya. As the previous years, it has worked very well; the personnel are totally qualified, very professional. We are going to repeat our event in the Palau next year.
There are the typical problems before and after any event, but always I have found the team’s amiability and professionalism, to which I congratulate for all their collaboration in these days. "

Last October 9, the French laboratories Pierre Fabre were grateful for the success of their event celebrated in the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya.

The seminars of the Laboratories Pierre Fabre France celebrated in Barcelona from August 25 to August 29 were a great success.
They have allowed us, for the first time in the history of our society, to bring together our 2.000 commercial collaborators and to contribute, this way, to the necessary motivation to confront the future challenges.

Last March, 2009, the Annual Pharma Conference- Sales Force Effecctiveness took place in the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya, with more than 300 attendees specializated in pharmaceutical sales sector.
